An evening of fine dining

A fun night out to me typically would include amazing food aka better than I can cook and live entertainment. Typically a play or concert or just being outside in the summer is good:)
This particular evening had all of the above!
It was a chopped based dinner with some amazing chefs at a vineyard near my parents. Every guest picked an ingredient and the chefs made a four course meal out of what we all picked! My ingredient was honey and my Mother's was napa cabbage. Every dish was phenomenal not to mention the different glass of wine with each course! The entertainment came from watching the chefs brainstorm and create each dish! We had free rain to walk around the kitchen and they had a separate cooking station in the cellar/dining area! It was a wonderful and fun experience for sure!

The Sunday Currently {33}

It's been way too long since I've done a Sunday currently post! This past week has been wonderful! I had four days off of work! I feel rested for what feels like the first time this summer. I don't know why but I feel like I have been dragging the past couple of months. I even lost my usual energy to exercise....so strange! I was trying to ignore it, because it's summer and I didn't want to miss it!  I feel energetic again though and not dreading having to wake up in the morning, and thinking I can't wait to go back to bed tonight!

CURRENTLY

Reading: Skating magazine. The articles on Jason Brown and Rohene Ward were SO good! I love the fact that I have actually skated with Rohene Ward in a MN State exhibition! He told me I was a beautiful skater! HA :):) Just thought I should toot my horn. He is Jason Brown's choreographer now! He's an Olympic coach! Dang I want to be an Olympic coach some day! Why not?!

Writing:  Nothing. Seriously. I have only done like two posts all summer!

Listening: To a lot of Christian, and Irish music lately. The stuff on the radio is getting so annoying to me!

Thinking: A lot lately of ways I can be a better coach, and what would help me become a better coach. What the heck God is doing with my life, is this where He wants me to be? And why? Why Mankato of all places?! As usual it's like walking in the dark. Maybe I wouldn't be happy somewhere else, maybe I have it better than I realize?

Wishing: I could see into the future! Ha ha I really don't think that would help at all but I still wish I could sometimes.

Hoping: The energy doesn't go away! I need to stay up!

Wearing: My PJ's!

Loving: Iced coffee! I made it for the first time this weekend. Cold french press, so easy and delicious. But. I have had coffee every day this past week because it was vacation and I wanted to. I am on caffeine over load now though. Ha Bad. I am giving it up for the rest of the month, and offering it up for the persecuted Christian's! Dare to join me?! I am sipping my last one right now!

Rejoicing: In my time off from work! It was SOOOOOO nice and rejuvenating!!

Anticipating: To be energetic and ready for the work week!

Feeling: Like I have lost that drive and excitement for life. Maybe it's because I was so tired. I was so good about making things happen last year!! What happened? I have to do something about this! I need to set more goals for myself! I thrive on that!

I hope that you all have a beautiful Sunday!
God bless!

Life in the sweet summer

Is full of swimming, grilling, cocktails, iced tea, iced coffee running, biking and family and friends! I can hardly believe it's already august! I don't want these long warm days to end!

I am at such a loss with this space lately! I am so behind, I don't even know where to begin. I'll get caught up when it's cool out again I guess. For now I'm enjoying the last days of summer!

                          Ciao,
                        Rachel:)
