Thanksgiving

I So much for my grateful Friday's in November... I only accomplished two out of four.....whoops. I tried people. My schedule is out of control!

Anyway, I am LOVING this relaxing Thanksgiving weekend immensely! Even though I had to work on Friday, thank goodness we weren't busy because I was up late with my family playing poker on Thanksgiving! $1 poker:) It was a ton of fun! And I won the first game! Shocking I know, seven whole dollars. It reminded me of when my brothers and I would play way back when. Good memories. Tomorrow my Mom and I are going to White Christmas at the Orpheum theatre! I am just a little excited:):)!!!!!

We had a white Thanksgiving this year, it made it feel more like Christmas than anything but oh well!

THANKFUL

~ Family. I can't put into words how much I love them and appreciate each and every one of them.

~ That I can listen to Christmas music now:) I am currently listening as I type and sipping "hot" cider that is now cold, because I sip too slow! Ha ha I'll just have to re-heat it.

~ That my Mom took me ice skating and I fell in love with it:)

~ For most of my coworkers:) Yes that's right I could do without some of them, I guess working with people who can be difficult is what it's all about right? Showing God's love to everyone! Okay.......I need to work on that!

~ For such a fun day spent with family on Thanksgiving

Let the Christmas decorating begin!

places to go

I can't help but think of a year ago at this time. I was excitedly awaiting to take my first trip out of the Country. Ever since I took that trip it has made me want to travel more. I want to see the world that God has created. It's amazing to think you can hop on a plane and be transported to what seams like a whole other world.

There is one thing that a lot of my patients tell me, make sure you take vacations, TRAVEL, learn from the cultures and history. The ones who traveled had some pretty sweet stories to tell!:) So I have started a list of places that I want visit. These are in no particular order. The number one place that I wanted to visit was Rome, and I am so glad that I made it happen!

Salzburg, Austria

I have always wanted to visit Austria, and go on The Sound of Music Tour! I loved that movie as a kid and still do.

Grateful Friday // 2014

I almost forgot about this!

~ For my life, because it's my birthday on Sunday! I am grateful for the 28 amazing years I have had. My life is not anywhere near where I thought that it would be at this point. You just never know where God is going to lead you! It's a pretty incredible ride that's for sure!

~  That I have been getting up and working out before work for the past couple of weeks. I can hardly believe it. Because for the past few years I have struggled with exercise in the mornings. I was just too tired and didn't want to move. Now I want to get up and jump on the treadmill. It's REALLY nice! Let's hope it lasts.

~ For my Faith. Without it I would be lost and hopeless. I will never understand how people live without God in their lives! How empty they must be and don't even know it. He is the only reason I get up in the morning, and love my life. Because I know that I am exactly where He wants me to be and He's got the master plan!

What are you grateful for?

Have a wonderful weekend!

Ciao,
Rachel

Grateful Friday // 2014

I can hardly believe it, it's that time of year already! Where I take every Friday on this space to give thanks, because it's the month of Thanksgiving.

~ For timelessness.
It's something that I am always searching for these days. Those moments and days that you are so in love with life that it almost seems as if time is standing still. Do you know what I'm talking about? You don't care what time the clock says you're completely lost in the moment. I am so grateful for those moments in my life when nothing else matters but what I am doing right then and there. I know I should be like this all of the time but I am not, sadly. Those moments usually only happen when I am at Church, on the ice or spending time with loved ones.

~ Slow mornings.
I LOVE them. When you don't have to wake up to a dreaded alarm! I have had a few lately and they are so needed, I am soaking up every last bit of them!:)

~ The beautiful fall.
I am so glad that it didn't turn freezing cold right away. Especially after our sub par summer here in Minnesota. The colors this year were stunning, the bluffs here in Mankato were a blanket of radiant fall colors! I sadly didn't capture any of the beauty with my camera. What was I thinking?! Oh well my eyes were spoiled anyway!

What are you grateful for?

Happy Friday!
Ciao,
Rachel
